ConferMED Celebrates 200,000 eConsults

National telehealth leader reaches patients in need of specialty care

Middletown, Conn., June 25, 2025 – ConferMED, one of the nation’s leading eConsult telehealth companies, has reached a company milestone having completed 200,000 eConsults. ConferMED was developed by practicing primary care clinicians to address the challenges of obtaining specialty consultations and coordinating care with specialists, especially in underserved areas of the country.

ConferMED provides clinical consultations between primary care providers and a national team of over 250 specialists across all major adult and pediatric specialties. The consults between the PCPs and specialists are conducted electronically via a secure communication channel, with results typically returned within two business days. In a majority of cases, the PCP is able to successfully manage further treatment via the virtual consultation with the specialist. ConferMed’s eConsult solution improves the quality of care, lowers costs, increases patient satisfaction, and transforms clinical practice.
