Dan Wilensky, MD

Dan Wilensky, MD, is a Family Physician who has been with CHC since 2003. He obtained his MD from UVA Medical School in 1992 and completed the UConn Family Medicine Residency in 1995. He provides care to his patients at CHC’s Meriden site. As part of his patient care, Dan has teaching roles with UConn and Yale. Dr. Wilensky, as Appointed Senior Faculty to the Weitzman Institute, serves in several different roles. He is the Chief Preceptor to CHC’s APRN Residency Program and its remotely hosted programs. He is on the faculty of three of MWHS’s Project ECHOs (Complex Care Management, Pain, and Advanced Primary Care). He is a Community Preceptor for the Middlesex Family Medicine Residency.

As Medical Director for ConferMED, Dr. Wilensky is a senior leader and member of the specialty committee. He is called upon whenever clinical issues arise. Dan runs a team of expert primary care doctors who review the quality of the eConsults answered by our Specialists. Dan personally reviews all clinical complaints or concerns. He also is an eConsultant, responding to Complex Primary Care cases from several states.

Outside of work, Dan enjoys yoga, fitness, swimming, spending time with his family, and advocating for a vegan diet, health care as a right not a privilege, and environmental issues.
